And I definitely agree with the points you make, I often make changes in programs at work to remove obsolete features, for example a set of program options that support software we don't use anymore. I often get eye-rolling from some colleagues that I'm "wasting my time" by removing this obsolete code. 3rd paragraph and 4th paragraph, “loosing” should be “losing”.
